School of Logistics Engineering takes "every day is a masterpiece" as the motto, advocates "people-oriented, self-cultivation" educating concept, adheres to the "market-oriented, serving regional economy" purpose, holds “enhancing students' comprehensive professional quality and ability” responsibility, to make full advantages of “production-learning combination for talent cultivation”, stick to the "school-enterprise cooperation " developing route , build up “integration of teaching, learning and doing” teaching mode, and lay emphasis on students practical growth and accumulation.

With the long-term programming of Chinese logistics industry, it is strategically positioned an integrated service industry covering transport, warehousing, freight forwarding and information industry, etc. According to the industrial economic development trend and large demand of the compound specialized talents, School of Logistics Engineering sets up the following eight programs, including Logistics Management, Logistics Management With Express Delivery Orientation, Logistics Management With Business Orientation, Chain-store Management, Electronic Commerce, Highway Transportation and Management Major, Customs and International Freight, and International Shipping Business Management. In addition, logistics management and e-commerce have been bridged to access to secondary and higher vocational education--- Logistics Management Major (Undergraduate), which is jointly held up by Tianjin Normal University and Tianjin Transportation Vocational College and owns more than two thousand students.

The school possesses a large number of software and hardware resources to ensure the implementation of “production-learning combination” talent cultivation mode. Based on the construction of China’s first “ bar code and RFID laboratory” in college in 2004, it took the lead in building the national logistics training base, covering more than 2000 square meters, including the Warehouse Operations Optimization Center, Distribution Optimization Center, Transportation Optimization Center, Bar Code Production Center, Information and Monitoring Center, Future Shop, IOT System Operations Center, Forklift Training Area, Passenger Operations Management Training Center, Port Model Room, Customs Declaration and International Freight Forwarders Business Simulation Training Hall. Tianjin Post Office and the school jointly build up campus practice teaching base--- Post Express Service Center, to achieve express delivery business in the real work situation and highlight the practical business training. In 2014, Electronic Business Service Center was built up with nearly 1000 square meters, which brought in the third party e-commerce platform operating situations, built up the real and simulating campus e-commerce practical teaching and training base, and set up the following six functional areas, including O2O E-commerce Business Incubator, Network Customer Service, Art Designing, Marketing, Business Operations Simulation, Warehousing and Logistics Express, to comprehensively serve for “Tianjin 1133 E-commerce Personnel Training Project”.

Supported by Tianjin Transport Group, School of Logistics Engineering plays the role of School- Enterprise Cooperation Council and builds up a number of practical and training bases, which are jointly equipped with producing, teaching and researching functions, such as the Beijing Shenzhou Digital Technology Ltd., Sinotrans JiuLing Storage and Transportation Ltd., JiuZhouTong Pharmaceutical Group Ltd., ShiNengDa logistics (Tianjin) Ltd., Tianjin KeYun International Logistics Group, Tianjin JinTong Customs Broker Ltd, Tianjin XinLiCheng International Shipping Ltd., Tianjin Tasly Group Ltd., Beijing ZhongSou Network Ltd., SF Express Ltd.,etc. The school has carried out working-learning alternation and oriented training mode with these High quality enterprises for many years, to commonly cultivate talents to be the technical experts and business backbones.
