As a secondary school, School of International Exchange takes the mainstream of International cooperation in running schools and explores diversified school-running modes and multiform teaching modesbased on the high quality programs of Tianjin Transportation Vocational College. School of international exchange is the access to import and export the high quality teaching resources and the teaching base to cultivate high quality talents with international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills, who are capable of furthering their study abroad.
School of international exchange, officially established in October 2007, sets up Automotive Inspection and Maintenance Program (cooperating with Canada), Logistics Management Program (cooperating with Japan) and Aviation program. It has cumulatively been enrolling of more than 550 students, with 30 students studying abroad, 27 students practicing abroad and 20 students working for the export-oriented enterprises. Since establishment, School of international exchange takes " Every Day is a Masterpiece " as the motto, adheres to the purpose of "serving students, serving partners and serving society" and sticks to the developing route of "high-quality school running", to expand the international exchange panels, promote foreign language teaching reform, standardize teaching management and establish cooperation relationship with name-brand enterprises. Up to now, School of international exchange has basically formed its unique running pattern with qualified teaching resources, standardized teaching management and diversified output paths for students.
To meet different output needs of the co-program students,School of international exchange opened up the different overseas cooperation programs for students’ internship , such as the Japanese 385 circulation Ltd. and American KFC, etc; Moreover, it has built up the school-enterprise cooperating relationship with many foreign-owned and export-oriented enterprises at global top 500, such as NYK and Nippon Express, etc.
In order to improve the students' language level, School of international exchange broke the traditional routine class teaching mode and limits in grades to implement hierarchical teaching. It sets up Language Teaching Day, absorbs teaching experience and methods from foreign teachers and social training institutions and stimulates students’ interest in learning, especially to highlight the listening and speaking training of situational language and encourage students to express themselves in the classroom, extracurricular activities and foreign exchange activities.
In order to improve students’ employment ability, School of international exchange innovatively adjusts its teaching plan according toenterprises’ needs, organizes internship home and abroad and remotely supervise students. According to the satisfactory feedback from the students having their internship in Japan at the first stage, the internship gains fruitful achievement--- most interns have been able to fluently communicate with Japanese colleagues through real language context, have standardized professional conduct from the refined management and strict quality awareness in Japan, and have held the positive working attitude profiting from Japanese colleagues’ professional ethics. The internship experience in Japanese enterprises has enhanced students’ confidence and competitiveness.
To serve multinational logistics enterprises, auto manufacturers and dealers, School of international exchange aims at satisfying their needs on skilled talents with high foreign language communication skills and operating skills, by strengthening students’ comprehensive quality and enhancing their operating skills and sticking to the strict selecting standard to save the employing cost for enterprises. Up to now, School of international exchange has been transporting to Mercedes Benz North Star, TOYOTA logistics and Nippon Express, etc.
